Team Update: Eduardo Saravia Joins Global Creative Economy Council
We’re delighted to announce that Eduardo Saravia, Chief Economist at Sound Diplomacy, has been appointed to the Global Creative Economy Council (GCEC) – a new global initiative launched by the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC) and the British Council.
The GCEC is a global forum for expert collaboration and policy innovation in the creative economy. It brings together leading voices from around the world – from entrepreneurs and researchers to cultural leaders and policymakers – to shape transnational approaches to inclusive, sustainable growth in the cultural and creative sectors.
Eduardo is a cultural economist with more than 16 years of experience advising governments and international organisations including UNESCO and the Inter-American Development Bank. His expertise lies in evaluating the economic and social impact of the cultural and creative industries, with a focus on development, equity, and evidence-based policy. As a member of UNESCO’s Expert Facility for the 2005 Convention and the Culture|2030 Indicators, he is a recognised leader in the field of global cultural governance.
As part of the GCEC, Eduardo will contribute to a programme of research, writing, and convening, focused on some of the most urgent issues facing the global creative economy today – from informality and inequality to climate resilience and international collaboration.
We are incredibly proud of Eduardo’s appointment and look forward to the GCEC’s work inspiring new ways of thinking and acting across the global cultural policy landscape.
