Sound Diplomacy to Host Panel at SXSW London 2025: Exploring Music, Culture and the Future of Cities
We’re excited to announce that Sound Diplomacy will be taking part in SXSW London 2025, joining the global conversation on creativity, innovation and urban futures.
As part of the festival, we’ll be hosting a thought-provoking panel titled City Sounds 2050: Music, Culture, and the Future of Urban Development, bringing together leading voices from architecture, urban planning, real estate and cultural policy.
This session will explore how embedding music and culture into the built environment can deliver tangible social value, enhance real estate outcomes, and transform high streets, town centres and underused urban assets into thriving, inclusive places. From temporary pop-ups to long-term planning tools, we’ll examine how culture-led development is shaping the cities of tomorrow.
Our panel of speakers includes:
Jett Glozier, Global Head of Culture Infrastructure, Sound Diplomacy
Paul Westwood, Design Director, RIOS
Sian Astrop, Meanwhile and Asset Manager, Earls Court Development Company
Ruth Cayford, Head of Creative Industries and Cultural Development, Cardiff Council
Together, we’ll discuss international best practices, the evolving role of cultural infrastructure, and the importance of aligning design, policy and cultural ambition in building more liveable cities.
If you're interested in creative placemaking, music policy, or how cultural infrastructure can unlock urban potential — this session is not to be missed.
