Croydon: Game On! Culture and Creativity Driving the Borough’s Next Chapter

Croydon’s ambition for culture-led regeneration took the spotlight at Develop Croydon: Game On. The event brought together leaders from development, business and culture to explore the borough’s future growth.

Our Head of Business Development, Jett Glozier, spoke on the Stay, Play, Explore: Tourism, Leisure and the Fun Economy panel, highlighting how creativity, music and sport can strengthen Croydon’s visitor offer and support a more inclusive, people-centred approach to regeneration.

The event showcased major regeneration momentum from £1.2 billion in new investment since 2022 to updates on College Green, the town centre masterplan and Croydon’s rapidly developing gaming and digital sectors. Partnerships across public, private and community organisations were repeatedly cited as the driving force behind Croydon’s progress.

With significant investment, a growing creative economy and a shared commitment to placemaking, it’s clear that it really is game on for Croydon.
