Sound Diplomacy is the global expert in developing long term and self sufficient music strategies. We have worked in over 40 countries and with over 100 clients, spanning public, private and third sectors, such as the Greater London Authority, City of Vancouver and UNIDO. We are proud to be working with Haringey Council to conduct an analysis of the music ecosystem and to explore how best to support its evolution.

This webpage will be updated regularly to keep you informed about Sound Diplomacy’s ongoing work with Haringey Council: overall timelines, key dates, and an opportunity for you to have your say.

What's planned:

We are currently mapping the different assets in the areas’ music ecosystems. Results will be included in the final report.

We want to run roundtables to gather opinions on challenges and opportunities within the areas’ music ecosystems.

We will post information regarding the roundtables here. If one looks relevant to you and you’d like your voice to be heard then please contact

All roundtables will likely take place in July 2019.

Next Steps:

Music Audit

This is a review of existing research and assessment of the local music and performance arts ecology, including a study into recurring themes and stresses on the platforms for talent and skills development, and top line stats and figures within the performance arts sectors.

Final Report

We will deliver a comprehensive, highly localised music vision, outlining the specific community and business focused engagements Haringey should pursue.

Gap Analysis

This will outline the needs within the music ecology and best uses, solutions and developments to support its role within the greater plan for the areas.

Overall Timeline

We aim to deliver the final report to the council in October 2019.
