Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Assistant to organise our financial systems and manage day-to-day financial and accounting procedures to ensure the financial health of the company.

The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting and administrative tasks, including overseeing financial records, processing income and expenditure and performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports. The candidate will be responsible for collating, managing and interpreting financial data and preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the Senior Management Team and Board of Directors.

The successful candidate will have experience working with accounting software, including but not limited to Quickbooks, as well as advanced knowledge in MS Excel and an excellent understanding of bookkeeping and financial accounting procedures. The candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and feel confident working with, and receiving feedback from, a multifunctional and international team across four offices.


Key responsibilities:

  • Review and implement financial policies. 

  • Provide and interpret financial information and perform in depth financial analysis, ensuring data integrity.  

  • Manage bookkeeping, accounts up to trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow. 

  • Manage budgets, forecasts and conduct variance analysis. 

  • Manipulate and handle large volumes of data and manage monthly journals regarding bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable and cash flow projections. 

  • Perform financial analysis and prepare and maintain the management accounts. 

  • Produce and keep records of monthly statements, tax payments and invoices and ensure invoices are paid promptly. 

  • Manage payroll and review and process reimbursements and staff expenses. 

  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation relevant across four international offices. 

  • Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other finance-related issues. 

Knowledge and skills:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar discipline.

  • Good working knowledge of accounting software, like Quickbooks. 

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant, or similar role. 

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial accounting procedures. 

  • Ability to collate, manage and interpret data it in Excel. 

  • Proactive approach with time-management and organisational skills. 

  • Confidentiality and accuracy.
