Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a driven, dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Consultant to join a rapidly growing, forward thinking and exciting business. The candidate will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the company’s growth and strategy.

The role of the Senior Business Development Consultant is to increase revenue and develop new business opportunities to drive sales growth for the company, mainly in the UK market. The candidate will be responsible for generating leads and developing new business across multiple sectors, including cities and governments, tourism and property development.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proven track record of lead generation and increasing sales as well as a desire to work in a cutting-edge field within music, culture and urban development. The ideal candidate will have an excellent network at a high level and the confidence to engage with a wide range of clients. The candidate will have an interest in the arts, urban planning and/or property development sectors.

Based in our London office, the successful candidate will report to the Business Development Director, and work closely with Sound Diplomacy’s business development team.


Key responsibilities:

  • Generating new leads, converting clients and driving sales with the objective of increasing revenue. 

  • Identifying potential clients and their needs, as well as key decision makers. 

  • Setting up meetings between client decision makers and Sound Diplomacy. 

  • Increasing yield from existing relationships. 

  • Ensuring delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals. 

  • Managing post-project reports and contact follow up process. 

  • Assisting with product pricing and costing. 

  • Representing Sound Diplomacy at music industry, urban government and property development conferences.

Knowledge and skills required:

  • 5+ years of sales and/or business development experience. 

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and partners. 

  • Strong negotiation skills. 

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.

  • Proactive and confident with an ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Self-sufficient, motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.
