Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated, confident and energetic Business Development Assistant to become an integral part of Sound Diplomacy’s ambitious growth targets, mainly in the UK market. The ideal candidate will support a growing Business Development team to drive sales across multiple sectors, including cities and governments, tourism and property development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and organising leads, attracting new clients and conducting in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities. The candidate will maintain regular follow ups and contact, book appointments and assist the Business Development team through to client conversion.

The successful candidate will be resourceful, resilient, target driven and highly organised, with a desire to work in a cutting-edge field within music, culture and urban development. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Assistant to expand their skills and sales experience in a rapidly growing and expanding company.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide sales and administrative support to the Business Development team.

  • Conduct extensive market research to identify potential leads.

  • Establish customer needs and identify sales opportunities. 

  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Business Development team member for further development. 

  • Liaise with the Business Development team to ensure leads are appropriately and regularly followed up and additional follow ups are diarised in order to actively keep in contact.

  • Ensure all information is recorded in the CRM system.

  • Represent Sound Diplomacy at industry events.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Undergraduate Degree desirable, but not essential.

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Strong communication skills and excellent telephone and email manner.

  • Proactive approach with time-management and organisational skills.

  • Clear, assertive, resilient and confident.
